The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. What matters is the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Put together that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with Equinix connectivity. None of this make it safe. It does be part of your assessment.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense is your call.
